Since the beginning of the war, the SBI has submitted almost 900 indictments for crimes against national security to the court (infographic)
Starting from February 24, 2022, the SBI completed and continues to investigate 2,275 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against the national security of Ukraine.

It is known that investigators collect evidence and witness statements, as well as process other information, within the framework of open criminal proceedings. Taking into account the available evidence, persons involved in treason against Ukraine will be brought to justice. According to some criminal proceedings, the courts have already assigned real terms of imprisonment to the detained defectors.
In general, since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, the SBI employees have completed and continue to investigate 2,275 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against the national security of our state.
They include:
- 1,679 criminal proceedings – based on the fact of treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 460 criminal proceedings – based on the fact of collaborative activity (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 38 criminal proceedings – against accomplices of the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and others.
As of now, according to the results of pre-trial investigations:
- 1 thousand 146 persons were notified of the suspicion,
- 537 people were declared wanted,
- 1,316 people are being checked for involvement in treason and collaborative activities,
- 894 indictments were sent to the court.
