Speaker Johnson called the suspension of US aid to Ukraine a temporary pause

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson stated, that the suspension of United States military aid to Ukraine is a temporary pause related to the events at the White House on February 28.

“This is a temporary pause. Volodymyr Zelenskyi has to fix what happened last week, the shocking events in the Oval Office. And if he does that, I think it will be a win-win scenario for all parties involved. I think this is the best deal that can be offered, it can support the Ukrainian people, so I urge him (Zelenskyi) to do it.” Johnson emphasized.

He emphasized that he was pleased by the fact that “President Zelensky made it clear that he still wants to conclude this agreement.”

We will remind that on February 4, it became known about Trump’s order to stop all military aid to Ukraine until its leadership demonstrates “good will for peace”. This decision applies even to weapons that have already left the territory of the United States and were headed for the Ukrainian border.
