Сполучені Штати відхилили пропозицію Росії відновити пряме авіасполучення між країнами, зазначивши, що цьому має передувати щонайменше перемир’я в Україні. Про це повідомив помічник президента РФ Юрій Ушаков. “Американці поки що вважають, що потрібно досягти певних зрушень на українському напрямку, і лише після цього можна говорити про авіасполучення. Хоча мені здається, що це було б цілком логічним рішенням”, – заявив Ушаков. Крім того, Ушаков зазначив, що наразі немає прогресу щодо потенційної телефонної розмови між Володимиром Путіним та Дональдом Трампом, хоча такі обговорення відбуваються в Москві. “Розмова про це триває, про цей телефонний дзвінок. Але поки що домовленостей не досягнуто”, – додав він. Авіарейси між Росією та США були повністю припинені після початку повномасштабного вторгнення Росії в Україну у 2022 році. Заборона на польоти стала частиною міжнародної ізоляції Москви, до якої приєдналися десятки держав. Висловлювання Ушакова свідчать про те, що Кремль намагається знайти можливості для налагодження окремих каналів співпраці з Заходом, попри війну та діючі санкції. Нагадаємо, що 16 квітня Президент США Дональд Трамп продовжив ще на рік заборону на вхід російських суден до портів Сполучених Штатів.
The United States rejected Russia’s proposal to restore direct air traffic between the countries, noting that this should be preceded by at least a ceasefire in Ukraine. This was announced by Yuriy Ushakov, assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.
“So far, the Americans believe that it is necessary to achieve certain changes in the Ukrainian direction, and only after that we can talk about air connections. Although it seems to me that this would be a completely logical decision.” – Ushakov stated.
In addition, Ushakov noted that there is currently no progress on a potential telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, although such discussions are taking place in Moscow.
“The conversation about this continues, about this phone call. But so far no agreements have been reached”, – he added.
Flights between Russia and the US have been completely suspended since the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The ban on flights became part of the international isolation of Moscow, which was joined by dozens of states.
Ushakov’s statements indicate that the Kremlin is trying to find opportunities to establish separate channels of cooperation with the West, despite the war and current sanctions.
It will be recalled that on April 16, US President Donald Trump extended the ban on the entry of Russian ships to the ports of the United States for another year.
