Sukhanov’s lawyer expelled from the Udar party due to suspicions of bribery

Vitaliy Klitschko’s UDAR party expelled from its ranks the lawyer Oleksandr Sukhanov, who headed the party branch in Odesa. About this stated Volodymyr Bondarenko, deputy head of the party and member of the political trade union “UDAR Vitaliy Klychka”.

The reason was the detention of Sukhanov on suspicion of extorting a bribe of 1 million dollars. According to the investigation, he demanded these funds for assistance in leasing a plot of land on the embankment in Natalka Park.

“As deputy head of the UDAR party, Vitaliy Klitschka and a member of Politrada, I will say the following. The story is unpleasant. And the party has already expelled this person from its ranks. I am convinced that this character should be held accountable by law.” – said in the statement of Volodymyr Bondarenko.

He also emphasized that such promises regarding the land plot are an absolute fraud. This territory, with an area of 16.4 hectares, was previously transferred to a park zone by the decision of the Kyiv City Council, which makes it impossible to rent, sell or change its purpose.
