Szijjártó reacted to the SBU’s statement regarding the exposure of Hungarian agents in Ukraine.

Budapest did not receive any official information from Kyiv regarding the exposure of Hungarian military intelligence agents operating in Transcarpathia. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Peter Sijarto, informs edition 444.

Peter Siyarto accused the Ukrainian side of spreading anti-Hungarian propaganda:

“Anti-Hungarian propaganda, which in many cases turned out to be groundless.”

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry also noted that Budapest has not yet received any official messages from Kyiv regarding this incident.

“When we get any details or official information we will be able to deal with it, until then it should be classified as propaganda and should be treated with caution.” – summed up the minister.

We will remind you that on the morning of May 9, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on the exposure of the Hungarian military intelligence agent network, which carried out espionage activities in the Zakarpattia region. According to the SBU, two people were detained and suspected of treason under martial law. The intelligence service notes that the agents collected intelligence on the level of defense capabilities of the region, the location of the Defense Forces, air and ground defense facilities, as well as the public sentiment of the local population.
