Taiwan is studying the experience of Ukrainian business, preparing for possible aggression by China

Taiwan is studying the experience of Ukrainian business, which continues to work in the conditions of war with Russia. This is due to the increased preparation of the island for possible emergency situations against the background of growing threats from China. About this informs Reuters.
“We hope to learn from Ukraine’s experience of how private companies helped build the resilience of its government and society during the war.” – said the security service of Taiwan.
Representatives of Taiwan analyze how Ukrainian business adapted to wartime conditions, in particular, the involvement of supermarkets in the state supply system and the use of taxis for urgent medical assistance, for example, the delivery of donated blood in case of overloaded hospitals.
The Taiwanese government is working to create a platform for exchange of experience between Taiwanese and Ukrainian companies so that local businesses can quickly improve their preparedness for crisis situations. The island is also updating its warning and shelter systems, taking into account the experience of the Nordic and Baltic countries.
Andy Gunder, head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and a speaker at the relevant seminar, noted that the Taiwanese government should create backup online systems, taking into account the risk of cyber attacks similar to those carried out by Russia against Ukrainian infrastructure before the first missile strikes.
“We saw that during World War II, the safest place for critical infrastructure was in tunnels. Today, the safest infrastructure is in the cloud.” – emphasized Gunder.
He believes that it is very important that payment services such as Mastercard and Visa continue to function during the war, ensuring the financial stability of the country.
