Teenagers under the age of 18 set fire to military cars in the Kharkiv Region on the instructions of Russia, the police
They receive messages through Telegram channels from the special services of the Russian Federation, which offer to set fire to this or that object for a reward.
In Kharkiv and the region over the past two months, the police recorded about 10 cases of setting fire to military vehicles. The law enforcement officers established that the vast majority of the Paliyas are teenagers aged 12 to 18. About this reported head of the police of the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko, in an interview with Suspilno.
As of July 30, all cases of the burning of military vehicles in Kharkiv and the region have been solved, and the identities of all the perpetrators have been established. According to Tymoshko, the teenagers received messages through Telegram channels from the special services of the Russian Federation, which offered a reward for setting fire to certain objects.
“These are not ideological people. These are the most vulnerable, in my opinion, category of society. These are minors who are most exposed to influence”, – noted Tymoshko. He added that teenagers often agree to such activities because of money, although most of them still refuse.
The head of the police of the Kharkiv region emphasized that the law enforcement officers are sure that it is the Russian special services that are recruiting children to set fire to military vehicles. This is confirmed by data obtained during the investigation of criminal proceedings.
“We have relevant information that we received as part of the investigation. This allows us to assert that these actions are aimed at destabilizing the situation in Ukraine and creating the appearance of disorder.”– emphasized Tymoshko.
Tymoshko also noted that it is not only about burning military cars, but also civilian cars. He emphasized that these actions do not affect the defense capability of the state, but are aimed at creating resonance in society and the appearance of disorder in the rear, which allegedly indicates opposition to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This only affects the resonance in society. It shows that we are allegedly in trouble in the rear and, let’s say, that we have some resistance. In fact, this is only an attempt by Russia to create the appearance that there is allegedly opposition in Ukraine to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”, – he remarked.
