Thanks to the involvement of experts from the Ministry of Justice, the state saved billions of hryvnias on the production of UAVs and electronic warfare

The government involved judicial experts from the Ministry of Justice to check estimates for the production of unmanned systems and means of electronic warfare (EW). Thanks to this expertise, the state was able to save billions of hryvnias. About this reported Andrii Haychenko, Deputy Minister of Justice.

“We’re talking about billions, that’s for sure. The effect of lowering the price of an individual drone will be long-lasting. From now on, that drone will be supplied to the Armed Forces at a fairer price throughout the entire production cycle, which can last months or years. I would say that for every thousand FPV drones, it gives an additional – plus 300 drones for the Armed Forces”, – explained Haychenko.

He also noted that the Ministry of Justice plans to expand the list of types of weapons for the production of which an examination of the estimate will be carried out. Currently, this issue is regulated by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“Now we are talking about EW devices, as well as everything that flies, floats and does not have a pilot. I can say that the result of the work we are doing to control the cost of manufacturing drones and EW tools is that the cost of this equipment for the state budget has already decreased by 30% over the last year.” – remarked Haychenko.

He also explained why about 30% of the documents contained inflated prices for individual imported components.

“There were also objective reasons. And somewhere, someone wanted to make money. We are talking about a huge system that must provide for our Armed Forces. Of course, different people work in it: some are more decent, some less so. But with the help of our judicial experts, we managed to level this market. The earnings that are allowed today are 25%. This is more than enough in wartime.”, — Haychenko.
