Ukraine will use AI to search for vacancies and increase employment

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is working on the implementation of modern technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, in order to improve the situation on the labor market. This initiative is part of the human capital development strategy developed by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. About this it is said on the department’s website.

Deputy Minister of Economy Tetyana Berezhna noted that the Institute’s research revealed key groups of the population that need additional attention in order to be involved in economic activity. They include youth, women, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, Ukrainians abroad and economically inactive citizens.

Today, the main focus is on the integration of artificial intelligence for the selection of vacancies and personnel, the elimination of barriers to the employment of women, as well as the retraining of citizens and their acquisition of new professions.

The Ministry actively cooperates with international institutions to implement effective policies aimed at strengthening the labor market. The Tony Blair Institute has proposed nine promising areas that will help increase employment in both the short and long term.

According to the Institute, 37% of unemployed Ukrainians are ready to change professions or undergo retraining. In 2023, the Ministry, together with the State Employment Service and international donors, helped about 100,000 people learn new skills or improve their qualifications.
