The Armed Forces began to use American GBU-39 aerial bombs

According to information The Washington Post, Ukrainian military began to actively use GBU-39 aerial bombs, which proved to be resistant to Russian electronic warfare systems. This was in response to Russian forces’ successes in jamming other high-precision weapons provided to Ukraine by Western partners, such as the Excalibur and GLSDB.
It is estimated that almost 90% of GBU-39 aerial bombs successfully hit their targets. Their smaller size and design features make it difficult to detect and intercept Russian air defense systems. Ukraine received GBU-39 back in November 2023, but information about this was not disclosed.
It is currently unknown what type of aircraft is used to drop these bombs in Ukraine. In the West, GBU-39 carriers are F-15, F-16, F-35 fighters, A-10 attack aircraft and bombers.
