The director of the National Security Agency was fired in the United States

The director of the US National Security Agency, Timothy Ho, and his civilian deputy, Wendy Noble, were fired on April 3. The reasons for this decision are currently unknown, informs The Washington Post.
General Ho, who also heads the US Cyber Command, and his deputy, Wendy Noble, were removed from their positions at the National Security Agency (NSA). Noble was transferred to another position in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. Ho, who has held the post for more than a year, was on a business trip and did not comment on his dismissal.
The reasons for Ho’s resignation and Noble’s transfer remain unknown. The interim head of the NSA was appointed Lieutenant General William J. Hartman. Sheila Thomas, who previously worked as the executive director of the agency, became his deputy temporarily.
It will be recalled that on March 23, the Pentagon began checking employees using a polygraph after Elon Musk’s visit. The U.S. Department of Defense launched an investigation after the billionaire threatened employees who might leak information about his receipt of a top-secret briefing on U.S. plans in the event of a potential conflict with China.
