The Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the signing of an agreement on subsoil between Ukraine and the United States: Shmyhal named key positions

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the decisions necessary for the signing of the agreement between Ukraine and the USA on the subsoil and the creation of the Reconstruction Investment Fund. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

“Today, the Government adopts the decisions necessary for the signing of the agreement between Ukraine and the United States on the creation of the Reconstruction Investment Fund”, Shmyhal noted.

According to him, the main provisions of the agreement include:

  1. Ukraine and the USA are jointly creating the Reconstruction Investment Fund, which will be jointly owned and jointly managed by the governments of both countries.
  2. Ukrainian natural resources remain the property of Ukraine and are not transferred to other parties, in particular the United States.
  3. Ukraine will send 50% of future revenues from its natural resources to the Fund.
  4. The United States will provide funding to the Fund in the form of cash, financial instruments and other assets needed to rebuild the country.
  5. Funds raised will be used exclusively to finance projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
  6. The agreement takes into account the obligations of Ukraine within the framework of the European integration process, which excludes any contradictions with it.

Shmyhal emphasized that this initiative is consistent with Ukraine’s European integration course.
