The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine informed citizens that in the winter of 2024 they should be ready to provide themselves with heat and electricity. During the telethon “Edyny Novyny” a representative of the Ministry emphasized on the fact that instead of large-scale state aid, the government urges Ukrainians to actively prepare their homes for winter, using available resources.
The main emphasis is on energy efficiency and independent preparation of buildings for cold weather. The state offers citizens to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain loans to insulate their homes and install equipment that will help preserve heat and light in winter. These can be loans for the purchase of solar panels, generators and other energy-saving equipment.
The government calls these measures the primary steps to increase the energy efficiency of housing and reduce dependence on centralized energy supply. The state simplifies access to financial resources so that citizens can install equipment capable of meeting needs from 3 to 10 kilowatts. Such equipment is designed to solve problems with interruptions in the supply of electricity and heat during the winter period.
So, if Ukrainians want to spend the winter in warmth, the government suggests that they take the initiative into their own hands and take advantage of the opportunity to receive financing to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. The state only provides the tools for this, and the entire responsibility for preparation rests with the citizens themselves.
