The Cabinet of Ministers allowed to choose a postal operator for the delivery of driver’s licenses
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed the selection of a postal operator for the delivery of driver’s licenses, vehicle registration certificates and license plates. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The possibility of choosing a postal operator has been introduced, which will deliver driver’s licenses, a vehicle registration certificate and license plates (if issued) at the request of the person and for an additional fee. Previously, this procedure was carried out exclusively by the designated postal operator – by the joint-stock company “Ukrposhta”. The new rules will enter into force six months after the publication of the resolution“, the message says.
The government also introduced changes that allow owners of vehicles to temporarily deregister them if they do not participate in road traffic on the territory of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that this innovation will simplify the conclusion of civil liability insurance contracts for short terms — from 15 days to five months, which will be convenient for those who use the vehicle seasonally or temporarily do not operate it.
