The Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to the resolution on the volume of quotas for exports of sugar and poultry meat to the EU

The Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the resolution on the volumes of this year’s quotas for the export of sugar and poultry meat to the European Union. This is stated in Resolution No. 664, made public on the Government portal.

According to the document, the updated amount of the export quota for sugar is almost 11.0075 thousand tons. t. Licensing of sugar exports in accordance with the approved quota has been introduced until August 5, 2025. The volume of this quota is distributed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food among exporters in proportion to the actual volumes of their exports to the EU for the first five months of the current year.

The quota for meat and edible offal of domestic poultry, in particular domestic chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowls, is set at 51,061 thousand. t. The quota for the export of turkey meat and edible offal to the EU was also updated — 1,439 tons.

Compared with the quotas that were established by the Cabinet of Ministers for the period of validity of the autonomous EU trade measures for 2025, the quota for the export of sugar to the EU then amounted to 107,238 thousand tons. t, poultry meat – 55,536 thousand t, turkey meat and offal — 1,565 t.

Licensing for the export of poultry meat and turkeys will be valid until December 31, 2025. The total quota is 30 thousand. t until September 30 and 22.5 thousand t — from October 1 to the end of the year. The allocation of quotas is also carried out by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy among exporters in proportion to their actual exports to the EU for the first four months of 2025.

The reserve volume of poultry meat quota (1,071 tons) is distributed among exporters who did not export this product for four months of 2025.
