The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine authorized Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga to sign a bilateral “minerals agreement” with the USA. About this it is said at the disposal of the government No. 164.
“To authorize the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Svyridenko Yuliya Anatoliivna or Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Ivanovych Sybig to sign the above Agreement”, the document says.
We will remind that on February 26, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to sign an agreement between Ukraine and the USA on the use of minerals, which is officially called “Bilateral Agreement on Establishing the Rules and Conditions of the Reconstruction Investment Fund”.
Before that, on February 3, 2025, US President Donald Trump expressed interest in receiving Ukrainian rare earth metals in exchange for US aid.
