The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 540 million hryvnias for the repair of houses damaged by the Russian army in 5 cities

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate 540 million hryvnias to the communities of five cities for the restoration of multi-apartment buildings damaged as a result of Russian aggression. About this reported representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
“It is foreseen that the subvention will be directed to the development of project documentation, to the capital repair of apartment buildings damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The distribution of the subvention in the amount of 540 million hryvnias from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of the project “Renovation of housing for the restoration of people’s rights and opportunities (NORE)” was carried out., says the message.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal clarified, that the allocated funds will be sent to the communities of Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Izyum, Buchi and Makarov. According to him, these communities will be able to use the funding to restore about 200 apartment buildings damaged by the actions of Russian terrorists.
It will be recalled that in May, the World Bank decided to provide Ukraine with an additional $84 million to continue the implementation of the project “Renovation of housing for the restoration of people’s rights and opportunities (HOPE)”. The total amount will be distributed as follows: $82.5 million will be used to pay compensation to citizens for the repair of housing that was damaged as a result of Russian aggression, and another $1.5 million will be used to support and improve the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property (RPZM).
