Only a bulletproof vest and a helmet: The Ministry of Defence has changed the rules for returning equipment

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has decided to simplify the procedure for reporting property that servicemen must return after completing their service. Soldiers now only have to return body armour and helmets. This was announced by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov on Facebook.

We are taking another step in simplifying the reporting of property for our military. From now on, only bulletproof vests and helmets must be returned after service. Sleeping bags, mats, flasks and other items will remain with the soldiers. They will no longer have to think about handing them over,’ Umerov said.

The minister added that these changes were highly anticipated, as the military need to concentrate on performing combat missions, and the state is responsible for providing new uniforms.

Umerov also stressed that the Ministry of Defence continues to work on simplifying the supply system, which will help increase the effectiveness of Ukrainian defenders.

Earlier it was reported that Defence Minister Rustem Umerov signed an order introducing a simplified procedure for writing off military medical equipment, including first aid kits, bags and backpacks.
