The Cabinet of Ministers has clarified the validity period of certificates for persons with disabilities as a result of the war

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted amendments to several government resolutions aimed at strengthening social protection for war veterans, their families and children of fallen defenders of Ukraine. In particular, the government clarified the validity period of the certificates of persons with disabilities as a result of the war About it reported press service of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

The terms of validity of the certificates of persons with disabilities as a result of the war were clarified. For those who have a disability review scheduled before January 1, 2025, the certificate will remain valid until November 1, 2025 or until April 1, 2026, depending on age, gender and disability group. If it is not possible to pass a review after January 1, 2025, the validity of the certificate will be automatically extended until July 1, 2025.

The government also recognized the injury as equivalent to injury, contusion, mutilation or illness as a basis for establishing disability or confirming the death of a defender of Ukraine. The procedure for obtaining a veteran’s paper certificate has been simplified — now an extract from the EDRVV is sufficient, without the need to submit other documents.

By a separate decision, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine received the authority to issue certificates and vouchers for preferential travel to participants in hostilities, whose documents were previously issued by liquidated state institutions.
