The government allowed civilians who were in captivity to receive a deferment from mobilization
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution granting the right to postpone mobilization to civilians who were in Russian captivity. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant resolution, which harmonizes the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization” with changes from November 20, 2024.
“In order to obtain a postponement of conscription for military service during mobilization, it is necessary to provide an extract from the Unified Register of persons, in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom has been established as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine.” – says the message.
We will remind that in April 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a new law on mobilization, according to which servicemen who have returned from captivity have the right to be released from military service in the reserve. Those who decide to continue their service will be able to receive an additional 90 days of paid leave.
