The Cabinet of Ministers named the conditions for obtaining financial assistance for the purchase of solid fuel

Residents of the frontline territories of Ukraine will have the opportunity to receive financial assistance for the purchase of solid fuel for heating during the winter season of 2024-2025.
As informs The Ministry of Reintegration, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which the Procedure for providing a one-time financial aid for the purchase of solid fuel for the furnace is determined. Priority for receiving assistance is given to residents living in a 10-kilometer zone from the border with Russia or on the contact line. This concerns the communities of Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions.
The amount of payments will be 21 thousand hryvnias per household for the entire heating season. The program is financed by international organizations, in particular UNHCR, and the total amount of the project reaches 1.2 billion hryvnias.
Residents must contact local authorities or military administrations by September 16, 2024, to receive assistance. The application can be submitted both on paper and in electronic form. Copies of documents confirming the identity, place of residence and, if available, the status of an internally displaced person must be attached to the application.
The decision to grant assistance will be made within three working days after the application is submitted, and the recipients will be notified within five days. Funds will be provided in a non-cash way through a bank account or through the Western Union system.
