The Cabinet of Ministers plans to launch grants for the development of the bionic prosthesis production market in Ukraine
The government is preparing to launch a grant program to support the development of the domestic market of modern bionic prostheses. About this reported press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Prosthetics is one of the main tasks in the field of social policy today. We have to ensure that everyone who needs it, both military and civilian, receives a quality prosthesis on time. We want this market to develop, and more Ukrainian manufacturers to appear.” – said Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko during a visit to the Esper Bionics enterprise, which is engaged in the production of bionic prostheses.
Last week, meetings were also held with rehabilitation specialists, representatives of enterprises and heads of rehabilitation centers. Based on the results of these meetings, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity together with the Ministry of Health will develop a clear plan for solving key problems in this area.
The head of the Ministry of Social Policy, Denys Ulyutin, emphasized that prosthetics should be an integrated part of full-fledged rehabilitation. Among the main tasks of the ministry is the creation of a clear route of assistance for people, transparency in the formation of prices and support for Ukrainian manufacturers of prostheses.
Bionic prosthetics is the latest technology combining medicine, artificial intelligence, software and robotics. Thanks to them, it is possible to restore a significant part of the functionality of lost limbs.
