The Cabinet of Ministers temporarily assigned Lesya Karnaukh to perform the duties of the Head of the State Tax Service

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine temporarily appointed Lesya Karnaukh as acting head of the State Tax Service. Appropriate decision fixed Government Order No. 593-r.

“Temporarily, until the appointment of the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in accordance with the established procedure, the performance of the duties of the Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine be entrusted to the first deputy head of the said Service Karnaukh Lesya Arkadievna”, says the order.

Karnaukh, who has held the position of first deputy head of the DPS since May, became the head of the service after Ruslan Kravchenko. On June 17, the Verkhovna Rada supported his appointment to the position of Prosecutor General, and already on June 21, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the decree to this effect.

Karnauch has been working in the civil service since 2004 after graduating from the Odessa Law Academy with a specialty in “Jurisprudence” and a master’s degree in law. From 2019 to 2023, she was the deputy chief of staff of the Accounting Chamber, and in June 2023 she headed the patronage service of the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko. In August of the same year, by his order, she was appointed deputy head of the Code. Subsequently, after the appointment of Kravchenko as the head of the DPS, Karnauch became his deputy.

We will remind you that the newly appointed Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has already taken up his duties and announced that an official presentation from the president is not planned, because the head of state is currently on a business trip dealing with issues of strengthening national security.
