The CIA confirmed the death of the son of its high-ranking official in the war in Ukraine

The US Central Intelligence Agency confirmed the death of the 21-year-old son of the CIA’s deputy director for digital innovation, Michael Gloss, who, according to the media, signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense last year during hostilities in Ukraine. About this informs NBC News.
According to a CIA spokesperson, the Gloss family experienced an incredible personal tragedy in the spring of 2024 when their son, who had mental health issues, was killed in action in Ukraine.
“The CIA considers Michael’s death a private family matter for the Gloss family and not a matter of national security. The entire CIA family is deeply saddened by their loss.” – said the spokesman.
At the same time, the CIA spokesman did not specify on whose side the man fought.
We will remind that on February 19, the Russian publication “Vazhnye istorii” published information that the 21-year-old son of the deputy head of the CIA, Michael Gloss, who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, died in the war against Ukraine.
He came to Russia in the summer of 2023 for the purpose of employment and obtaining citizenship. In September, Gloss signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and underwent training. He served in the 137th regiment of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation, which took part in hostilities, in particular in the Donetsk region. Michael Gloss died on April 4, 2024.
