The court confirmed the guilt of MP Dubinsky in the corrupt use of powers

The Kyiv Court of Appeal supported the position of the prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office and refused to satisfy the appeals of the people’s deputy of the 9th convocation Oleksandr Dubinsky and his lawyer. Earlier, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv found the deputy guilty of committing an administrative offense related to corruption.

About this informs Office of the Prosecutor General.

The consideration of the case began with the administrative protocol drawn up by the NAZK based on the materials of the SBI. It stated that Dubinsky, being in the status of a suspect in criminal proceedings, abused his parliamentary powers.

In particular, he sent parliamentary appeals to the Ministry of Health and the SBI in order to obtain information for personal gain that was not related to his parliamentary activities.

The prosecutor proved in court that these actions took place in conditions of a real conflict of interests. The first-instance court found the deputy guilty of ch. 2 Art. 172-7 of the Criminal Procedure Code and imposed a fine as an administrative penalty. The appellate court confirmed the legality of this decision.
