The court seized Deripaska’s billions of assets in Mykolaiv

The court seized a large batch of industrial products and raw materials stored on the territory of the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant and belonging to the sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. About this reported SBU press office.

“According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, the court seized a large batch of industrial products and raw materials owned by the sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska”, says the message.

We are talking about almost 500,000 tons of bauxite and alumina produced in Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion. These products were stored in the warehouses of the enterprise, which was previously owned by a Russian businessman. The total value of seized assets exceeds UAH 2.11 billion.

It is noted that this raw material was a key component for the production of aluminum at the Russian Rusal plants owned by Deripaska. The investigation established that control over the assets was carried out through a commercial company registered in one of the EU countries.
