The fourth group of wounded Ukrainians arrived in Croatia for rehabilitation

The fourth group of 17 wounded Ukrainians has already arrived in Croatia. reported Tomo Medved, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Veteran Affairs of Croatia.

The 4th group of 17 wounded from Ukraine arrived in Croatia, and so far 55 of them have entered Croatia for treatment and rehabilitation, making a total of 72 wounded from Ukraine. This is a strong signal from our Government regarding the support of the friendly Ukrainian people, especially through this humanitarian segment.”, — a remarkable Medved.

According to him, Croatia will continue this aid program as long as necessary.

“I thank everyone who takes part in the care of the Ukrainian wounded, especially our health care institutions, and I wish all the wounded successful rehabilitation and a speedy recovery.” – added Medved.

The Government of the Republic of Croatia decided to provide assistance in the treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded from Ukraine on March 16, 2023. In April and October 2023 and in May 2024, Croatia accepted 55 Ukrainian wounded for treatment and rehabilitation, of which 12 still remain in the country for rehabilitation.

In total, together with today’s group, Croatia received 72 wounded from Ukraine and 30 accompanying persons. All of them received the status of persons under temporary protection in the Republic of Croatia.
