The Government has improved the procedure for changing the purpose of land when transferring it to defense lands
On January 7, the Cabinet of Ministers updated the procedure for maintaining the State Land Cadastre and improved the procedure for changing the target designation of particularly valuable lands and forest plots, transferring them to the category of defense lands. According to the adopted changes, the entry of information on land use restrictions into the State Land Cadastre is carried out upon application by the person who initiates the change in the purpose of the land plot. Land planning documentation is attached to the application, which is the basis for changing the purpose of the site. In cases where such a change is possible without the development of land management documentation, it is necessary to provide technical documentation regarding the land inventory.
The document also prohibits changing the purpose of state-owned land plots that were classified as defense lands after the Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving the Mechanism for Providing Defense Forces with Lands” came into force.
The bodies of the prosecutor’s office and pre-trial investigation gained access to the information and documents of the State Land Cadastre, created in the process of its management, as well as to extracts from them. This decision was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to harmonize the legislation with the requirements of the Land Code of Ukraine and the Law “On the State Land Cadastre”.
