The Guarantee Fund completes payments to Fidobank depositors

The Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals (FGVFO) has announced the completion of payments of guaranteed sums to depositors of PUJSC “Fidobank” – they will stop after 30 days. About this reported FGVFO press office.
After the completion of the liquidation procedure of the bank, the FGVFD created the liquidation balance sheet and report as of May 1, 2025. From the moment the announcement is published, a thirty-day period begins, during which payments will still be made. After that, the balance will be approved, and payments will be permanently stopped.
“We call on depositors of PUJSC “Fidobank” who have not yet received compensation for their deposit to contact the Fund’s agent banks for the guaranteed amount”, the message says.
It is clarified that the heirs of depositors have a limited period of time – only 20 days from the moment of publication of the announcement – to submit documents for receiving funds. They must send a written application to the Fund together with a certificate of the right to inheritance.
“Reimbursement amounts for applications received by the Fund after the expiration of the twenty-day period after the publication of information about the future approval of the liquidation balance sheet shall not be paid by the Fund”, FGVFO emphasizes.
The Fund once again draws the attention of depositors who did not receive guaranteed compensation to the need to contact authorized banks as soon as possible. This is especially important for heirs, because after the expiration of the 20-day period, new appeals for consideration will not be accepted, and the funds for them will not be paid.
We will remind that as a result of the bankruptcy of Fidobank, its depositors lost about 3.9 billion hryvnias. On May 20, 2016, the National Bank declared the institution insolvent, and already on July 19 of the same year, it decided to liquidate it.
