The High Council of Justice announced a competition for the positions of disciplinary inspectors

On April 29, the Supreme Council of Justice announced competition for four vacant positions of disciplinary inspectors.
The Service of Disciplinary Inspectors (SDI) under the High Council of Justice started work on December 23, 2024, consisting of a head, deputy head and twenty inspectors. At the same time, according to the staff list, 24 disciplinary inspectors should be part of the SDI.
The 2023-2024 competition for these positions was partially successful: although the competition committee identified 24 winners, three candidates subsequently withdrew from further consideration and another inspector resigned immediately after being appointed.
Olha Popikova, a member of the High Council of Justice and deputy head of the competition commission for the selection of disciplinary inspectors, reported that two disciplinary inspectors will soon go on maternity leave. As a result, only 18 inspectors will remain in the SDI.
“A critical personnel situation may arise in the activities of the Service of Disciplinary Inspectors”, — noted Olga Popikova.
The competition to fill vacant positions is held with the participation of the competition commission, which includes three international experts in the field of law and three members of the High Council of Justice. The “controlling vote” during decision-making belongs to foreign experts. In addition to the final interview, the competitive procedure includes a number of tests, including a test of the candidates’ cognitive abilities.
