The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sent a delegation to Washington to discuss the plan to win the war with Russia. That’s what he’s about announced during his evening address on October 6.
According to the president, this week the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, together with other military personnel and representatives of the Ministry of Defense, will discuss the details of the “victory plan” with Ukrainian partners. On the agenda are key issues related to the military, strategic and security components of this plan.
In addition, Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine Anatoliy Barhylyvych and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishyna went to the United States on Zelenskyi’s behalf. Their mission is to strengthen coordination with partners and discuss important aspects of the implementation of the victory plan.
Earlier, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, said that a partial version of the victory plan will be presented to Ukrainians, as some of its details remain closed to public access.
The idea of a victory plan was voiced by President Zelensky back in August 2024. According to the head of state, this plan is designed for quick decision-making by Ukrainian partners in the period from October to December 2024. During his visit to the US, Zelenskyy presented the plan to both presidential candidates — Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, as well as the US Congress and current President Joe Biden.
