From January 1, 2025, the State Employment Service revised the amounts of individual payments and compensations. In particular, the maximum amount of unemployment benefits has increased to UAH 8,000. About this reported DSZ press office.
The changes are due to an increase in the minimum wage, which from the beginning of 2025 will also amount to 8 thousand hryvnias. In addition, compensations to employers for creating jobs for people with disabilities have increased. For persons with disabilities of the first group, this amount reached 120 thousand hryvnias (15 minimum salaries), and for persons of the second group – 80 thousand hryvnias (10 minimum salaries).
According to the service, in 2024, about 2 thousand people with disabilities of the first and second groups were employed. 130 million hryvnias were spent on compensation to employers.
Earlier, the director of the State Employment Center Yuliya Zhovtyak reported that the average amount of unemployment benefits in Ukraine is about 4 thousand hryvnias per month, and the maximum amount corresponds to the minimum wage.
We remind you that during martial law, unemployment benefits are limited to 90 calendar days, and for persons of pre-retirement age, this period does not exceed 360 days.
