The military ID of a prisoner from the DPRK turned out to be issued for a real resident of the Russian Federation
The military ID found on a captured military officer from North Korea in the Kursk region was issued in the name of a real resident of the Russian republic of Tyva. This was reported by the Russian publication “Agentstvo. News”.
According to the publication, a document issued in the name of Antonin Aranchyn, a native of Tyva, born in 1998, was found in the possession of a captured North Korean soldier. The ticket indicates the place of birth – the city of Turan, as well as the civilian specialty – tailor. At the same time, the document lacks photos, signatures and other supporting data.
As the “Agency” notes, this indicates that the real data of a Russian citizen was used to create a fake person. Journalists found a person with the same name, surname, patronymic and date of birth in the data sources. The only discrepancy is the place of birth: the military ticket shows the city of Turan, while the real Aranchyna’s passport shows the village of Erzyn (also in Tyva).
It was not possible to find a connection with the tailor’s profession in Aranchyn’s biography. In 2020, he worked at Tech-Khem Forestry (position not specified), and in 2023, according to microloan applications, he indicated that he works as a security guard in a deli or is retired. He was repeatedly refused microloans due to low solvency. The last application for the amount of 7 thousand rubles is dated February 24, 2024.
Journalists could not contact Aranchyn on the phones found in the sources, as well as his sister, who lives in Tiva. Both pages in the VKontakte social network, related to Aranchyn and his sister, have not been updated for more than 10 years.
