The Ministry of Defense explained how military personnel can check the possibility of transferring through Army+

A new interactive instruction has appeared on the website of the Army+ application, which will help servicemen find out whether it is possible for them to be transferred to another unit, as well as what steps need to be taken for this. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The instructions are in the format of a short test with a series of questions that must be completed before starting the transfer procedure:

  • how much time has already been served in the current part
  • what type does this part have
  • to which part there is an intention to transfer
  • whether there is suitability for combat service according to the opinion of the VLK
  • does the soldier have an officer rank

If, according to the results of the test, the transfer is possible, step-by-step instructions with all the necessary actions appear. It includes a recommendation letter template and examples of documents required for the report. It also indicates whether the commander’s separate approval is required. If the transfer is not possible, the reason is indicated.

“We are building a new type of communications in the military. When all processes are not bureaucratized, but understandable and humane. Changing the place of service, in particular. The military had questions about the algorithm – and we developed a test instruction for them that will tell them their next steps for the transfer.” – said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.

Since its launch, 60,000 military personnel have already used the service, of which 40,000 have received approval and have already transferred or are preparing to transfer to a new unit. The most common reason for refusal of the transfer by the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is low-quality photocopies of documents or the absence of the necessary pages. Thanks to the updated functionality in Army+, there are fewer such errors: the system now clearly indicates which pages or sections need to be added.
