The Ministry of Defense explained what is the difference between reinforced dry rations and conventional

The servicemen of the Armed Forces are currently provided with two types of dry rations: standard and reinforced. In the Ministry of Defense explained, how they differ and for what conditions they are intended.

A standard dry ration consists of three main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and includes basic products that provide the necessary energy value for the military. It includes galettes and crackers made of wheat or rye flour, ready-made first and second courses in retort packages (borscht, soups, porridge and vegetables with meat), as well as drinks (instant coffee, tea), sugar, honey, fruit jam, spices, disposable dishes and napkins.

Such a ration is designed for daily nutrition and is suitable for field conditions, if there is access to water and minimum conditions for storage.

Enhanced dry rations are designed for more demanding service conditions, such as combat tasks or special missions that require autonomy. Its composition is enriched with additional components to increase caloric content and ease of use.

In particular, it has dried fruits, dark chocolate, chewing gum, ready-to-eat meat dishes, as well as flameless food warmers. The latter allow you to heat food even without access to a fire or other sources of heat, which is important in field conditions.

These two types of rations provide the military with different levels of autonomy depending on the tasks and conditions they are in.
