The Ministry of Defense has codified three modifications of pump-action shotguns.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and allowed three modifications of domestically produced smoothbore pump-action rifles to be used in the Defense Forces at once. About this reported in the Main Department of ensuring support for the life cycle of weapons and military equipment.
Ukrainian-made 12-gauge pump-action shotguns are designed to perform a variety of tactical tasks. They use cartridges with a sleeve length of 76 mm, equipped with bullets or shot. Such a weapon is characterized by high effectiveness in close combat, ease of use and reliability.
It is especially relevant for infantry as an aid in battles in urban areas or narrow trenches. In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war, pump-action guns also proved their effectiveness in the fight against enemy kamikaze drones — equipped with shotgun shells, they are effectively used to destroy UAVs at short distances, especially during their approach to the target.
Ukrainian models have compact dimensions, equipped with Picatinny rails for installing additional equipment – collimator sights, lights, laser pointers, fire transfer handles, and more. Weapons are equipped with folding or telescopic butts, which can be adjusted individually for the shooter.
Serial production of Western-style small arms under license has also begun in Ukraine. Among such models is the Czech CZ Bren 2 assault rifle, which, thanks to its ergonomics, lighter weight and modular design, has advantages over the widely used Kalashnikov assault rifle.
