The Ministry of Defense is implementing new approaches for the rapid supply of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is implementing new approaches to speed up and improve the supply of drones to the Armed Forces. About this reported Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
From now on, purchases will be made according to framework agreements formed on the basis of tactical and technical characteristics, and not for specific models. Such a principle allows to attract a wider range of manufacturers, contributes to the creation of a competitive environment and ensures transparency through the Prozorro system, noted Shmyhal.
The DOT-Chain Defense digital platform was also launched — a marketplace where combat units independently choose the drones they need. According to the minister, this ensures targeted and prompt deliveries without delay. Currently, the service works in a pilot format for 12 combat brigades.
“Our priority is to develop the most effective mechanisms for providing soldiers on the front lines with the drones they need. As mandated, the Defense Acquisition Agency is working to increase the pace of supply and ensure that every unit receives exactly what it needs to carry out its combat missions.”, – concluded the Minister of Defense.
It will be recalled that in July there was information that Ukraine and the United States are working on concluding a “drone agreement”, which provides for the sale of Ukrainian drones in exchange for American investments and the purchase of weapons from the United States.
