Ukrainian law enforcement officers exposed a network for the production of fake documents for traveling abroad

The Directorate of Operative and Investigative Activities of the Western Regional Administration, together with the Border Guard of Poland, exposed a scheme for the production of forged documents, among which were certificates of birth, marriage, death and diplomas of higher education.

As informs The State Border Service of Ukraine, as part of the criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers documented the activities of an organized group that produced, sold and forwarded forged documents both in Ukraine and abroad. In particular, false documents were used to smuggle conscripts across the border.

In Lviv, Kyiv, and Odesa, 13 searches were conducted, during which more than 270 seals, holographic stickers, films with holographic images, and more than 11,000 forms of documents, including diplomas, birth and marriage certificates, were seized.

In addition, law enforcement officers seized significant material assets: 2.5 kg of gold in 10 ingots, about 110 thousand US dollars, 50 thousand Russian rubles, computer equipment and documentation confirming criminal activity.

For data The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, one of the members of the group, a 38-year-old resident of Odesa, has already been charged with 3 Art. 358 and ch. 3 Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The woman assisted conscripts in avoiding mobilization and going abroad, using forged documents, for which she received a monetary reward in the amount of 14,500 hryvnias.

Advertising of her “services” was distributed through Telegram. Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
