The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is active is working on the creation of separate slots for the military in the “Marriage online” service in the “Action” application.
This decision became a necessity after numerous requests from users who complained about the lack of such an opportunity. There have already been cases when the military did not have time to register the marriage due to tragic circumstances, in particular the death of one of the partners at the front.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, special slots for the military were not foreseen earlier due to security reasons. Military personnel belong to a vulnerable category of the population, therefore it is necessary to ensure reliable protection of personal data for them. Before launching such an option, the system will be thoroughly tested to exclude any possibility of manipulation or abuse.
“The creation of separate slots for the military requires special attention, because the system should be available only to this category of persons and not subject to manipulation”, – the Ministry of Statistics noted.
Work on the development of a mechanism for booking special slots for the military is being carried out jointly with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. There are even separate slots for combatants in the plans. However, the exact launch date of this feature has not yet been determined.
“The system must be flexible, because the military often has limited time to register a marriage, but at the same time it must be reliable and secure.” – the ministry added.
