The government has accelerated the granting of statuses to a person with a disability as a result of the war and a family member of the deceased

The authorities significantly simplified the procedure for obtaining the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war and a family member of the deceased Defender and Defender. Now they can be issued within 30 days in two ways.
About this reported Deputy Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Prykhodko on the air of the national telethon “Edyny Novyny”.
“And the main innovation – the collection of missing documents – is not the duty of the veteran or the families of the deceased, but of the competent authorities,” he said.
To obtain the specified statuses, it is enough only to submit an application, where you must specify the data necessary for its provision. Next, the competent authorities must demand a complete package of documents from the authorized bodies or officials.
Through Centers for the provision of administrative services (TsNAP) regardless of the place of residence. In electronic form through the e-cabinet of the Diya portal or the Unified State Register of War Veterans (currently under development). The collection of the necessary documents is entrusted to the competent authorities, and not to the veterans themselves or the family members of the deceased.
To obtain the status, it is enough to submit an application, where you need to specify the data necessary for its registration. Then the authorized bodies will independently demand a complete package of documents.
The unified state register of war veterans is currently being finalized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Therefore, in the near future, there will be an opportunity to submit a “one-click” application.
At the first stage, the electronic application will be available for:
- Soldiers of the security and defense sector: Armed Forces, National Guard, DPSU, National Police, SBU, and SZR, who were disabled as a result of hostilities.
- Families of the fallen Defenders and Defenders of the above categories.
- All categories, including:
- Volunteer defenders from among civilians.
- Volunteers.
- According to Deputy Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Pryhodko.

“This will significantly simplify the lives of people who suffered as a result of the war and their family members. After all, they will be able to receive the necessary state support faster and without unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles.”
