The Ministry of Economy recorded about 10% of abuses when booking employees

The Ministry of Economy has launched checks on the reservation of workers at critical enterprises due to a sharp increase in the number of men booked since July this year. This was stated by First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko in a commentary for Suspilne.
According to her, abuse currently accounts for no more than 10% of the total number of enterprises.
‘We understood that we had signals from people working in the regions that sometimes they felt that enterprises were being given criticality status in bad faith. We started this audit at the level of civil-military administrations, which have the right to grant and recognise criticality, and at the level of ministries,’ Svyrydenko said.
She also said that the audit is still ongoing, and that only 12% of Ukrainian enterprises have the status of ‘critical’, although they account for 67% of state budget revenues.
‘This means that the reservation system is working. We can see that there are abuses, but they do not exceed 10%. I think even 5-6% of what we see now,’ she added.
The minister clarified that the audit primarily covers those companies that initially submitted one data on the level of salary with taxes paid, and then drastically changed it or significantly increased the number of employees in sectors where staff reservation is allowed.
