The Ministry of Education and Science has approved an updated list of equipment for teaching the subject “Defense of Ukraine” in schools

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine solidified an updated list of teaching aids and equipment that will be used for teaching the subject “Defense of Ukraine” in general secondary education institutions.

The list includes modern tools that meet the current requirements of student safety training: simulators for controlling FPV drones, which come complete with computers, interactive laser shooting simulators, tablets for studying theoretical material and multimedia equipment for demonstrations. First aid training kits are also provided: mannequins for practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tourniquets, means of stopping bleeding, tactical medical kits, as well as simulators designed for simulating injuries and practicing appropriate action algorithms.

A separate part of the list consists of personal protective equipment: new helmets, bulletproof vests, certified gas masks and chemical protective equipment. The list also includes drones for the practical study of aerial reconnaissance, radio stations for training in the basics of communication, and components for setting up a training track, where schoolchildren will be able to practice coordination of actions in difficult conditions.

Thanks to this update, students will acquire practical skills that can save lives in emergency situations, familiarize themselves with security technologies, learn to critically perceive information, counter misinformation and make decisions in situations of risk.

We will remind you that in 2024 the content of the “Defense of Ukraine” course was radically revised. Instead of theoretical study and formal military training, students now undergo monthly intensive trainings lasting 6-8 hours in specially equipped centers. The program covers topics in first aid, drone management, cyber security, emergency response and information security.
