The NACP discovered unjustified assets worth UAH 7.8 million from a Kharkiv patrol police officer

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) found signs of the acquisition of unsubstantiated assets in the amount of UAH 7.8 million from a patrol police officer of the Kharkiv District Office of the National Police in the Kharkiv Region. “The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) based on the results of lifestyle monitoring and in cooperation with the State Bureau of Investigation and evidence obtained by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) revealed signs of the acquisition of unjustified assets worth UAH 7.8 million from a patrol police officer of the Kharkiv District Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv Region”, – says the message.

It was established that the law enforcement officer and his wife own a 2018 Lexus LX 450 car worth 3.7 million hryvnias, as well as an apartment in Kharkiv worth 5.8 million hryvnias. An analysis of the spouses’ income and savings showed that they could accumulate only about UAH 1.6 million, which covers only part of the costs of purchasing the specified property. The origin of the remaining UAH 7.8 million remained unknown.

In this regard, SAP prosecutors filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court with a demand to recognize these assets as unfounded and to collect them in favor of the state.
