Naftogaz reported how much gas production increased during the first half of 2024
Achieving such results became possible thanks to an 8% increase in commercial gas production, which amounted to 7.3 billion cubic meters.
During the first half of 2024, Naftogaz Group companies, namely JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya” and PJSC “Ukrnafta”, managed to increase the production rate of commercial gas by 8% compared to the same period in 2023, due to which its volume amounted to 7.3 billion cubic meters. m. This is stated in messages the press service of the company.
As of now, the production of blue fuel is almost 2% ahead of the announced figures.
Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of Naftogaz Ukraine, commenting on such results, noted that this became possible after the launch of 41 wells, which is 1 more than the planned level. Of these wells, 14 are high-rate and provide production of more than 100,000 cubic meters of gas per day. In addition, the company’s specialists constantly analyze the recovery of old wells, applying new technical solutions.
What are the gas production forecasts for the current year
According to the forecasts of the groups, the total volume is about 15 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to Chernyshov, this amount of production will make it possible to provide for all segments of the population and all consumers of the social category.
“We are increasing production. This year, we plan to achieve or approach the total production by state companies of about 15 billion cubic meters. This is enough to provide for all segments of the population, all households and all consumers of the so-called PSO category – the social category,” explained the high-ranking official.
Naftogaz is working on increasing gas production
The involvement of the latest modern technologies enables “Naftogaz” to develop its potential and increase the volume of production.
During January-March 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, Naftogaz Group’s gas production increased by 12%.
