According to data Ministry of Finance, in March 2024, the volume of state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine increased significantly, reaching UAH 5.924 trillion. This is UAH 434.31 billion, or $7.36 billion, more than in February.
The increase in debt is due, in particular, to the raising of $9 billion in new external borrowings in March. It is noted that as of March 31, the state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 5.92 trillion or $151.05 billion. In particular, the state and state-guaranteed external debt is UAH 4.24 trillion (71.56% of the total), or $108 .09 billion
The state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 311.7 billion (5.26%), or $7.95 billion. The sharp increase in the state debt occurred as a result of new borrowings in March from foreign partners.
