The Netherlands allowed Ukraine to use the F-16 to attack targets in Russia: details

Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren in an interview Politic confirmed the absence of restrictions on the use of F-16 fighter jets by Ukraine, including the possibility of striking targets on the territory of Russia.

“There are no limits in the Belgian style. We apply the same principle as we apply to any other supply: as soon as we hand it over to Ukraine, it can be used.”,” Ollongren said.

At the same time, the minister emphasized the importance of observing international law when using fighter jets.

“We only ask them to respect international law and the right to self-defense, as stated in the UN Charter.”, the minister noted.

According to Ollongren, the first F-16s from the Netherlands should arrive in Ukraine in the second half of this year.
