At the beginning of summer, the number of seasonal vacancies in Ukraine increased significantly, and interest in temporary employment among young people under 18 is also increasing. About this informs press service of the State Employment Service.
Today, there are 628 seasonal vacancies in the service base. There are 123 minors looking for part-time work. By types of economic activity, the greatest demand for workers is recorded in the field of agriculture, processing industry, and travel agencies.
Among the most in-demand professions are support workers, teacher-organizers, stewards (travel escort), fruit and vegetable growers, as well as workers who provide comprehensive service to agricultural production.
At the beginning of the year, the number of vacancies registered in the State Employment Service was 47,000. As of June 1, this figure increased by 40% and reached 66,000. An increase in the number of job offers is observed in almost all sectors of the economy. The most dynamic growth is recorded in the agricultural sector, construction, processing and trade.
We will remind that according to the data of the State Statistics Service, in the first quarter of 2025, the average salary of full-time workers in Ukraine increased by 24.1% and amounted to 23,460 hryvnias. In the field of agriculture, growth by 42.7% was recorded, where the average level of wages reached 21,413 hryvnias.
