The number of Ukrainian billionaires has increased to seven: Forbes

According to the updated ranking of the world’s richest people, published by Forbes USA, the number of Ukrainian billionaires whose fortunes exceed one million dollars has increased. This year to the list entered seven representatives of Ukraine.
The richest among Ukrainians remains Rinat Akhmetov, the owner of DTEK and Metinvest companies, who took 390th place in the world ranking. His capital has almost doubled — from $4 billion last year to $7.9 billion. This growth is related to the increase in the income of his enterprises, the increase in the value of the FUIB bank, as well as other assets, in particular the Luminance yacht worth about $500 million.
Viktor Pinchuk took 1141st place with a capital of $3.2 billion — 60% more than last year. Several Ukrainian businessmen also returned to the ranking: Petro Poroshenko with $1.8 billion (1947th place), Andriy Verevsky with $1.4 billion (2356th place) and Vlad Yatsenko with $1.2 billion (2623rd place).
Vadym Novinskyi and Kostyantyn Zhevago were in the same position — 2623rd place — whose fortunes remained unchanged compared to last year and amount to $1.2 billion. Instead, Gennadiy Bogolyubov, who had $1 billion in the previous rating, did not make the list this year.
We will remind that in January, analysts of the international charity organization Oxfam reported: in 2024, the number of billionaires in the world increased from 2,565 to 2,769 people – that is, four new billionaires appeared almost every week.
