The Pentagon announced Russia’s intention to launch a new strike with Hazelnuts

The Pentagon has officially confirmed the possibility of Russia’s repeated use of the Oreshnyk medium-range ballistic missile against Ukraine. About this reported US Department of Defense spokeswoman Sabrina Singh.
According to Singh, Russia may launch this missile “in the coming days.” The official provided this information based on an updated assessment of American intelligence. At the same time, she noted that the US does not believe that the use of “Hazelnut” will significantly affect the situation on the battlefield. However, according to her, the Russian side is trying to use the entire available arsenal to intimidate Ukraine.
The details of the possible targets of the strike were not disclosed in the Pentagon. During the briefing, Singh recalled that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had already publicly announced his intention to launch another Oreshnik missile.
“It is possible that Russia will launch in the coming days, I cannot name the exact date,” she noted.
Earlier, US officials said that they see the Russians preparing for another launch of the missile, which was first used last month during the shelling of the city of Dnipro.
