The Pentagon spoke about the possibility of North Korean troops influencing the war in Ukraine

The representative of the American Ministry of Defense, Patrick Ryder, commented on the possible sending of troops from North Korea to the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine. According to him, the North Korean army will become “cannon fodder” in Ukraine. About this informs service to the Pentagon.

“If I were in charge of North Korea’s military personnel, I would question sending my forces as cannon fodder for an illegal war against Ukraine”, – emphasized Patrick Ryder.

At the same time, he noted that the United States authorities will continue to monitor the situation, taking into account the strengthening of cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

The reaction of the world to the negotiations between Russia and North Korea

According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the signing of the treaty between the Russian Federation and the DPRK is proof of the increasing coherence between authoritarian states, and it also shows that democratic states must act as a united front.  At the same time, representatives of the White House administration said that Putin’s meeting with Kim Jong Un indicates Moscow’s intentions to create a coalition with North Korea, Iran, Syria and, to some extent, China.

We will remind that Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recently signed an agreement according to which each side is obliged to provide immediate military assistance to the other in case of armed aggression against one of them.
